We are looking for experienced Chef to join our team at Parramatta Leagues Club Ltd, located at 1 Eels Pl, Parramatta NSW 2150 If you have a passion for a cooking exceptional food and thrives in a fast-paced environment, then this opportunity is for you. The successful candidate will be working in the kitchen with our team and will oversee overall food preparations. - Knowledge of workplace, health, and safety procedures in a kitchen
Roles and Responsibilities: - Coordinate food preparation and meal service.
- Cook all the dishes on the menu.
- Provide training to cooks and kitchen hands and evaluate their performance.
- Ensure the quality of dishes at all stages of the kitchen processes
- Create new menu dishes.
- Checking and managing stock and order with suppliers as required for daily food preparation and performance.
- ensure food preparation issues are brought forward to management and relevant kitchen and wait staff
- Assist with selecting and training new staff
- Oversee the cleaning of work surfaces and other kitchens equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
- Attend all scheduled employee meeting for improvement.
- Prepare weekly staff rosters.
What you'll require is: - Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar position in a busy environment.
- Minimum of a Diploma related to cookery, kitchen management or hospitality management (preferred)
- Excellent people skills and a suitable attitude the capacity to lead, grow, and collaborate with a large team.
- Experience in a similar position in a hotel, restaurant, or club environment.
- Being able to take the initiative and lead in these practical roles a strong sense of finance and the willingness to go above and beyond.
