About us:

Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC) is one of Australia’s most iconic Clubs in the Western Sydney region, strengthened by its sister club Vikings Sports Club (Dundas) and newly amalgamated Dural Country Club.  Vikings Sports Club is a real family friendly venue, with great Bistro Meals and Little Vikings, a play area for the young ones. We are passionate about bringing together our community, supporting local causes, and offering welcoming experiences for our members and community by delivering exceptional service.

We are on the search for a Senior Accountant for the PLC Group. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, our Senior Accountant will be vital in financial management, reporting function, audit and compliance for a variety of venues.

This is a full-time permanent role based out of Parra Leagues Club located in Parramatta.

What will be involved in the role?

• Prepare and coordinate PLC Group budget and forecasting.
• Monthly reporting including analysis of financial performance.
• Process improvement to ensure our business has the relevant tools and systems in place to adapt to changing needs.
• Review and monitoring of compliance to ensure consistency with the requirements of relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
• Engage with stakeholders of different levels around the business making a strong personal impact on others.

What skills and attributes are we looking for?

• Strong collaborator with adaptable, clear, effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
• A strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

What experience/qualifications are needed?

• Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree in accountant or finance.
• Minimum 3 years in a share services accounting function working for a similarly sized organisation.
