Parramatta Leagues Club (PLC) is one of Australia’s most iconic Clubs in the Western Sydney region, strengthened by our sister club Vikings Sports Club (Dundas) and newly amalgamated Dural Country Club.  We are passionate about bringing together our community, supporting local causes, and offering welcoming experiences for our members and community by delivering exceptional service.

 

Our satellite venue, Dural Country Club (DCC) is a sporting and recreation club, currently undergoing transformation to enhance it’s welcoming atmosphere and ambience.  This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a growing venue under new ownership, PLC has a strong vision of creating DCC as an events and functions destination. 

 

About the role:

As the “Approved Manger” of Dural County Club (DCC), you will be reporting directly to the CEO and working alongside the Leadership Team.  The GM of DCC will be responsible for delivering key business outcomes, the day to day service delivery, and driving a high-performance culture. The successful applicant will have demonstrated history at the COO or General Manger level yielding exemplary hospitality, gaming, functions & events, and commercial acumen, whilst managing multiple opportunities and projects. You will be an experienced Operational leader who is also an engaging character, who can inspire and motivate a business.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Plan and manage the daily operations of all areas of the DCC licensed premises and operational staff.
  • Lead and develop a high performing team, facilitate ongoing development, and motivate staff to achieve their full potential.
  • Ensure the delivery of a consistent and exceptional customer experience to our members and guests.
  • Build a highly inclusive and collaborative culture.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team and key stakeholders to plan and deliver the club’s strategic plan with a focus on operational excellence and member experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the Club’s offerings in hospitality, gaming, with a strong focus on establishing and growing functions and events, and provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
  • Prepare and implement budgets, effectively manage financial forecasting, monitor progress, and present operational metrics for monthly board reports as required.

About you:

  • Previous experience as a CEO, COO, General Manager or Club Manager
  • Have an engaging character and can inspire and motivate the business
  • Exemplary food, beverage, hospitality, functions and events experience and skills
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Extensive knowledge of club gaming operations and all relevant legislation
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and projects
  • Inspiring and influential leadership and management skills and experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop good working relationship and liaise with a wide network of stakeholders.
  • Can “roll up your sleeves” and lead the resolution of problems under demanding time constraints
  • A genuine commitment to WHS principles and fostering a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work shift work, weekends and public holidays if needed.
  • Bachelor of Hospitality, Business or Commerce (desirable)
